Football Manager 2022: 10 Attacking Midfielders You Must Sign

3. Isak Hansen-Aarøen

Football Manager 2022 Gaetano Castrovilli
SEGA

Club: Man Utd

Nationality: Norwegian

Price: £15 million

16-year-old Isak Hansen-Aarøen is very much viewed in the same bracket as Martin Ødegaard was a few years ago. These days a 23-year-old with Arsenal and Real Madrid on his résumé, Ødegaard was once the hottest young star on the planet, making his first team debut for Strømsgodset at just 15 years of age and then playing for the Norway senior side aged just 15 years and 253 days.

For Hansen-Aarøen, the hope is high that he can reach or surpass the heights achieved by his countryman, and these days the young attacking midfielder is on the books of Manchester United.

Given his age and vast potential, you can expect to pay a premium fee of hopefully £15 million or so, but this is totally an investment worth making if at all possible. If that means shipping out squad players or getting rid of some veterans, do it. As shown by the accompanying screengrab from three seasons into FM22 - with Hansen-Aarøen still only 19 by that point - this is a special, special player.
