Football Manager 2022: 10 Bargain Strikers You NEED To Sign

6. Carlos Vela

Football Manager 2022 Carlos Vela
SEGA

Club: Los Angeles FC

Nationality: Mexican

Price: £2.7 million

While £2.7 million is far from an expensive price tag, that's only the fee you'll need to pay if you want to sign Carlos Vela from Los Angeles FC as soon as you boot up a new Football Manager 2022 game.

If you can hold on until the end of that first summer transfer window, you should be able to get Vela for around £1 million. Even better, if you can wait until that first January, you'll be able to get the player for free due to his contract expiring at the end of 2021.

For anyone who's kept an eye on the MLS for the past few seasons, you'll be well aware that this former Arsenal and Real Sociedad player has been absolutely tearing it up. At one point, the only person who could keep up with the Mexican forward was the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimović during Ibra's time at LA Galaxy.

Despite some at times deriding the standard of MLS, Vela is still more than capable of playing for one of the traditional big clubs. And at 32 years of age, this classy, creative, clinical forward has a good few years left in the tank when it comes to playing at the top level.
