Club: Man City

Nationality: English

Price: £13 million

The son of legendary long-throw artist Rory, Liam Delap is someone who's being talked up extremely highly in the real world these days.

Having come through the Derby County academy ranks, Delap joined Manchester City in 2019 at the age of 16. Aged 18 by the time Football Manger 2022 starts, this English forward is a player well worth keeping your eye on

A hard-working, pressing central striker, Delap ticks so many of the basic fundamentals of what you'd look for in a true team player. As in, this is someone who will always put a shift in, who will run from first minute to last, and who will give his all for his teammates.

In terms of ability, the City striker has very decent starting stats, but clearly with plenty of room to improve his numbers with the right coaching environment and the right amount of minutes on the pitch. For those who opt to take a punt on Liam Delap, you'll be rewarded by a player who will usually become England's starting #9 by the time he reaches 23 years of age or even younger - and if you get in early enough, you should be able to sign Delap for around £13 million.
