The Trapper is the kind of player who will hole themselves up in a house and ensure they're well-defended, usually placing some kind of wall or floor trap in order to catch people off guard.

Wall or floor spikes are a popular option, although they can also be placed on ceilings. The traps are effectively an instant kill and there's little more satisfying than placing a trap in somewhere you were hiding, leaving that hiding place and still managing to catch someone in it later on.

Traps are an interesting item in the Fortnite universe - you can go multiple games without even seeing one. They don't drop all that often and a lot of players tend not to even use them.

Some traps have been removed from the game, such as the electricity traps, but Trappers can simply make deadly use of the spikes. Other traps, like the campfire which actually heals over time, or the launch pad, can also be used in combination for the best results.
