Devolver is that little publisher that basks in their punk rock personality, bringing you whatever the hell game they damn well please.

Every year they deliver a handful of gems amongst their odd and experimental repertoire, but 2019 has almost been pure peak output.

Just take a look at their first half of the year: Pikuniku, Ape Out, Observation, Katana ZERO and My Friend Pedro - a true scorching line-up of titles. It's no exaggeration to say that any of those games are shining examples of the best 2019 has brought.

Add to that, the hilariously violent VR title Gorn, the tycoon p*ss-take WeedCraft Inc, and the gripping (yet simple) party game Heave Ho. Oh, and they brought a cult FromSoftware game, Metal Wolf Chaos, over to the West after no one else would for over 15 years!

Let's see what they have in store for 2020...
