financial pasting across the last few years, publisher/director combo Deep Silver purchase the rights, and are attempting once again to its awesome concept justice. It all takes place in 2029 as a militant Korean force is attempting to take Philadelphia, casting you as an everyman of the state taking up arms to defend their titular homeland. The general idea of casting the spotlight on civilians is a tact that paid off perfectly in This War of Mine, 11 Bit Studios' management-sim that saw you attempting to survive the fallout from a war after all the soldiers had come and gone. Defending American soil isn't entirely new - multiple Call of Dutys have featured similar levels - but if Deep Silver's writers can deliver an emotional narrative that really makes you care about what you're fighting for, or more importantly what it means to go from everyday work to that of the battlefield, it could be one hell of an experience that sits nicely next to Spec Ops: The Line.
