Gaming Merch #1

Welcome to issue 1 of Gaming Merch. As you probably have surmised, I€™ll just be taking a look at some of the things being released which tie into the games we know and love. This week we€™re turning our heads, and eagle eyes, over to Ubisoft Workshop. For fans of the series there are more than a few iconic €˜looks€™ in the Assassin€™s Creed universe. Any search on the internet will uncover mountains of fan art, and some very impressive cosplays of protagonists Altair and Ezio. Desmond however, sometimes gets overlooked, except when it comes to his signature white hoodie. The guys over at Ubisoft Workshop have been working on a authentic replica hoodie for a long while now, releasing a version a little earlier this year. They didn€™t stop there though.

While the early version was missing a couple of details, such as the iconic eagle design on the back, the new version will be about as close to the real thing as you€™re going to get, and it looks pretty great. The hoodie itself was designed with the creative team of the games and based on the 3D model for Desmond; just taking a look at the pictures shows the depth of work that has gone into it. Some of the features include a zip through hood, as well as two patches on the hood which allow you to €˜see without being seen€™. Personally my favourite feature is the little hidden AC logo under the zip. As I said, there is a slightly less authentic version of the hoodie up for sale at the moment, but this particular version will be released October 28th.
