God Of War 2: Ragnarok Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Want To See
1. Playable Atreus
GOW's ending strongly hinted that Kratos' time was coming to an end.
Not only that, but Atreus is no ordinary demi god (if there even is such a thing), but a part giant, part god, part mortal powerhouse who will one day bring about Ragnarok.
Why wouldn't you want to play as him?
Whether this comes in the form of a deeper two player co op system that builds on the last game's combat, or whether Atreus acts as a passing of the torch moment between Father and Son, it'd be refreshing to take the reins as someone who isn't a badly tattooed Greek.
Besides the upfront intrigue at playing a character who is widely considered to be something of a villain in Norse mythology, a playable bout as Atreus would be more than helpful at breaking up the monotony of a mid game slog.
With a bow and arrows, and a more nimble set of skills, Atreus would contrast greatly compared to his bigger, burlier Dad. It would also work well within the story, with Atreus steadily growing stronger and more independent, with little need for Kratos to keep looking over his shoulder all the time.
Plus he needs to learn to climb for himself for a change.
