God Of War 2: Ragnarok Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Want To See
3. Kratos' Redemption
Reboots traditionally tend to highlight old characters in a new light. And 2018's GOW was no different in this respect.
Players watched as Kratos slowly went from an old and angry killer into a prospective Father and teacher. However, he never quite got over his past.
Corey Barlog has even stated that there was no room for Kratos to become wholly altruistic in the reboot, but with a sequel that builds upon the progress Kratos has already made, we might finally see the old Spartan find the peace he's been looking for.
After pummelling half the Norse pantheon into soup, of course.
But after having eight games of angry Kratos screams, it'd be nice to finally let him soften a little bit into his new role as a caretaker rather than a warrior. We all saw what happened to his last family when he didn't.
And considering the strong hint at the end of GOW that Kratos might not be around for much longer, an optimistic ending where Kratos makes up for his past and turns into the God he wants Atreus to respect would be a nice way to wrap things up for the big man.
It does raise the question of which afterlife he'd go to, though. He's been to most of them already.
