God Of War 4: 10 Things We Know About Kratos' Next Adventure
4. Bigger Boss Battles Are Coming
The God of War series is renowned for its epic boss battles, heart-racing encounters against opponents the size of small countries.
It just wouldn’t be God of War without these set pieces and the game’s director Cory Barlog has confirmed to The Know that more of them are on the way, promising they will be even more epic in scale.
A couple of these boss battles were teased in the E3 trailer, with a dragon flying overhead at the end. Those with eagle eyes may also have noticed what appears to be a landscape-spanning snake, subtly slithering around in the background. This is likely to be the Midgard Serpent, also known as 'Jormungandr' or 'the World Serpent'.
We’re yet to find out how the game will depict Norse gods such as Thor, Loki and Odin, but one thing is for certain: They'll be grittier than their Marvel Comics incarnations, and it won’t be long before Kratos finds himself on the wrong side of them.
