5. Explore The World And Search For Side Quests
While you could venture slightly off the beaten path in other God of War games in search of hidden trinkets, the upcoming sequel is attempting to give players bigger battlegrounds to fight through than ever before, turning each level into a semi open world.
You won't have the same freedom as you do in Skyrim, but the design of each area is allegedly as open as the likes of Uncharted 4 or Tomb Raider, with side quests and optional areas for you to discover yourself.
The world of GoW looks absolutely stunning, from the snowy mountaintops to the desolate dungeons, so it's great to see Santa Monica giving players a reason to actually explore it, with brand new areas and a whole host of additional content waiting to be found.
How exactly side quests are going to work hasn't been revealed as of yet - and they probably won't be as substantial as they are in the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn - but they should go a long way in opening up the historically linear levels of the action series.
