Gotham Knights: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

4. Drop In/Drop Out Co-Op

Gotham Knights Batgirl And Robin

The gameplay reveal at DC's Fandome showed a playable Batgirl driving through the streets of Gotham on her batcycle, on her way to stop Freeze, passing NPC vehicles and pedestrians in a Gotham that feels more alive than in previous iterations. Weather causes noticeable damage to the world, such as ramps of ice for the player to use, or bolts of lightning causing pedestrians to swerve or flee.

During this encounter a notification in the top right corner popped up showing that Robin had joined the session, which indicates the use of seamless drop in/out co-op gameplay, similarly to Crystal Dynamics' The Avengers.

Although the game is entirely playable in single-player, you can join up co-operatively and even use 2 of the same character. As confusing as this sounds, it encourages players to use their favorite characters but also enable them to experiment with different combinations.
