During the trailer there are also scenes which resemble the Riddler puzzle rooms with Nightwing avoiding obstacles, although it is unconfirmed if the Riddler would be returning. The scene then cuts to reveal the Court of Owls, a secret society that has been running Gotham City from the shadows, who use reanimated assassins known as Talons for their dirty work.

The trailer concludes with a sinister nursery rhyme passed down through Gothams history that warn 'no one talks about them, not a whisper, word is said, and that if you try and cross them, a talon strikes you dead'.

Gotham Knights' trailer also promises that the mystery goes far beyond just the Court of Owls, but their inclusion is an exciting addition to the often overused rogues gallery that has plagued the Arkham games.
