Grand Theft Auto 6: 9 Insane Rumours You Need To See

6. Minigames

Haphazardly tacked on as feature-padding fluff. That about sums up the primary role of minigames, alright, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Integrating secondary gameplay elements not compulsory to main story progression is a terrific means of supplementing adventures that could potentially stretch to hundreds of hours and why open-world sandboxes à la Grand Theft Auto are packed with the things. When you've had enough of being a career criminal for the day, why not take a load off by moseying on down to your local casino for a hand or two of poker?

Frivolous? Perhaps, but if GTA V's online counterpart and, for that matter, Red Dead Redemption 2's (somewhat gratuitous) hunting pastimes are any indication, Grand Theft Auto 6's supposed additions of bowling and white water rafting will more than justify their existence with special unlocks and engaging gameplay.
