The continuing problems with the GTA Online servers means that getting into either a heist or a mission isn't always as easy as it should be, which can leave you with some time to make your own fun. Regardless, the ascent up both the financial and the experience ladder is still important, and there are a few less exciting crimes you can commit on your own. First off, your good pal Simeon will send you a list of car requests. Now, there are a lot of cars that can be stolen and sold for cash at Los Santos Customs, but these special request orders offer a significant boost on the payment. The cars he requests come in groups of 5 and have to be resprayed prior to delivery, he'll also deduct your pay based on the condition of the car so you'll want to be careful with how you get it there. Easier said than done as you'll pick up a 2 star wanted level in the process. There's also the option to knock over one of the maps many convenience stores by simply walking in and pointing a gun at the clerk. They'll slowly fill a bag with cash for you (they go a little quicker if you've got a microphone installed and fancy shouting at them) while the police are alerted. LSPD response times are sluggish as ever though, so unless you're extremely unfortunate you won't be getting caught on your way out of the door. While not the most thrilling elements of the game, they'll help you gather the experience and money you need while Rockstar irons out the usual kinks in the system.
