6. The Raid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWlmhMSnVdM Pretty much the entirety of this movie would make a fantastic GTA mission, though of course, it's unlikely we'll be playing a police officer. Change the parameters and circumstances a little - perhaps the tenement block is a rival drug lord's hide-out - and Rockstar can still have themselves a ball with this, as we and a few loyal footsoldiers roll up to the block, and begin working our way to the top, blasting everyone in sight. Of course, this would probably make for a pretty long mission, but it could be, like the Heat-inspired heist in GTA IV, that extremely challenging mission in the game that goes on for ages, and will have you wishing Rockstar had placed saves mid-way through missions. Still, imagine shooting your way to the top, as your team-mates are slowly whittled down, and a seemingly impossible number of bad guys come out of the wood work. This mission could also, in the vein of the movie, have the player employing a variety of combat types, from shooting, to knives, to hand-to-hand if, again, Rockstar manage to make their mechanics a little more intuitive this time.
