GTA V: 10 Awesome Locations You Simply Must Visit

2. The Small Towns of Blaine County

Desert Los Santos in itself is such a vibrant and busy place, it is easy to forget that there's actually a whole lot more. Yes, anyone worried about the size of GTA V's map when it originally leaked shouldn't have worried a bit. Los Santos and Blaine County are huge. It takes ages to get to the other side of the map regardless of whether you tackle the feat by land, sea or air. It can be daunting but it can also be a land of limitless potential. A lot of that potential is in Blaine County and the smaller towns that are there. Blaine County has much more of a San Fierro feel with a few sparse country towns and a sprawling unexplored landscape. Farmers go about their daily business tending to the crops, dusters fly over head spreading seed, and rife countryside crime runs rampant. Given that Blaine County is a much quieter place than Los Santos, when it kicks off, it kicks off. Once I stopped at a roadside motel just for a look around. I got to the second floor, just milling about and looking at things before I turned to look over the balcony and saw about five police cars blocking the exits, and about ten police officers pointing guns seemingly at me. I immediately wondered what I had done, not having murdered anyone for at least 6 minutes, before the police opened fire not on me, but on a gang who had holed themselves up in the motel. This experience was really something rather special in today's world of no real surprises and serves as a good reminder that venturing out of Los Santos has it's rewards.
