1. An Evolving World
Though Rockstar were rather vague about the details, they made it clear in this trailer that as well as being a persistent world, GTA Online was going to be constantly evolving and growing. While this instantly brings up flashes of the word "DLC", hopefully Rockstar won't be crass enough to split the game's audience down the middle by way of an optional download.
Hopefully this evoution will instead come by way of free downloads that simply add more features (such as cars, weapons and whatnot), and also perhaps expansions of the city, such as extra islands and buildings. Rockstar have given the impression that they want to keep a foothold on this world for the considerable future, which likely not only serves as a means to prevent second-hand sales (by keeping people holding onto the game), but also to preserve the life of current-gen consoles (as we'll surely still be playing GTA V in November).
