6. Mini-Games
GTA has always featured its share of mini-games but in GTA V, R* have really expanded on this concept, bringing much more depth and sophistication to the various mechanics. For example you'll be able to attend Yoga classes; go Jet-Skiing; Base Jumping makes a return; you can run in Triathalons; play tennis or a full round of golf on the fully rendered gold course or you can partake in some scuba diving along the coastline. On top of this, each seperate protagonist will have hobbies unique to them which will include "one or two key minigame activities per character". I have a feeling that this is the tip of the iceberg; in GTA V these mini-games don't just seem like relatively unnecessary diversions from the main story but rather realistic, worthwhile side activities that'll serve to create even further levels of world-depth and player immersion. And let's face it, GTA was pretty immersive in the first place. I dread to think how many hoursthis game is going to strip off of my life.
