7. Graphics Over Gameplay

This is more of a general gaming problem than a Rockstar mistake, but I still thought it was worth a mention. Games seem to be more focused on providing amazing graphics than an amazing all-round experience, and it really is a shame. This, for me, came to light as a Rockstar problem with the release of GTA IV back in 2008, when I was impressed by the graphics, but I couldnt really get into the game; it wasnt really that enjoyable. Those of you that read my previous San Andreas article will be aware of my adoration for the 2004 title, and I still feel that it has more re-play value than GTA IV to this day. Whilst San Andreas graphics were decent at the time, they have obviously not aged well due to the release of next-gen consoles, but even in the present day, San Andreas remains an enjoyable gaming experience. GTA Vs graphics, on evidence from the two trailers, do look amazing, but lets hope that this has not been the sole focus, and that we are provided with a truly unforgettable gaming experience.
