GTA V: 5 Recurring Features From San Andreas We'd Love To See Return

4. Katanas & Other Melee Weapons

Katana Melee weapons used to be quite prominent in Grand Theft Auto games, and were arguably at their peak in Vice City, which armed players with all sorts of weapons from hammers and cleavers to chainsaws and katanas. There were even designated tool shops where you could buy said weapons, but in recent titles, the amount of melee weapons has waned in the franchise. The only melee weapons made available in GTA V were the baseball bat and knife, which was a pitiful amount. We're hoping Rockstar allow gamers to arm themselves with the knife, golf club, shovel, pool cue, nightstick, baseball bat, katana, brass knuckles and chainsaw found in San Andreas when we return to the fictitious state later this year. Filling someone with bullets or blowing up a car with a rocket launcher is all well and good, but some of us prefer to get more "intimate" with our murder victims. Just saying.
