GTA V: 8 Reasons Why It's Blatantly Misogynous

2. Paparazzo Missions

One of the most worrying examples of misogyny in Grand Theft Auto V is the Paparazzo Missions, which require Franklin to team up with a sleazy photographer whose sole ambition is to bag himself incriminating photos of a female celebrity for his own selfish gains. The player is required to drive the photographer on a motorbike alongside a limousine and snap Poppy Mitchell taking drugs, and later photograph her having sex after creeping round her house, with the photographer observing - "one shot of that dirty little slut monkey and we are in the money". The subsequent release of these photographs to the media lead to Poppy suffering a nervous breakdown, and she is later seen being chased by the police before offering one of them sexual favours in order to avoid arrest. Nice. The Paparazzo Missions end with the photographer refusing to pay Franklin, who can either choose to kill or beat half to dearth - not because he's a lowlife, sexist pervert, but because he owes the player money.
