4. A Vice City-Themed Update

Although updates for GTA Online have riffed on films, television and other popular video games, they so far haven't really touched upon other entries in Rockstar's own franchise.

Perhaps wanting to keep the world of V self-contained and identifiable, other areas ripe for revisiting have been left untouched. In particular, fans are craving a long-awaited return to the world of Vice City, and if there's not a chance that they'll get their wish with GTA VI, an Online update based around that classic game could breathe new life into the multiplayer.

Not only would a return to Vice City characters, locations and weapons be a nice nostalgic throwback for fans, but the 80s setting in general could be exactly what GTA Online needs. The Doomsday Heist threw players into a more futuristic environment than ever before, and a return to the throwback aesthetic of one of the most iconic eras in the franchise could act as a great antidote to that update.
