5. Time For A New Locale?
Grad Theft Auto VI will be held in Vice City, that much seems pretty certain. At the very least, the hedonistic vision Rockstar have of 1980's Miami will be included, but the developers have also noted that it'd be weird to revisit Vice City in a different era, such as holding GTA VI in the present day rather than the 80's. Due to this, many people are speculating that GTA VI will have more than one main location on disc, and a lot of folks are pointing at a new city altogether. There's long been rumours that London will be featured in an upcoming GTA game, but that seems to be more hope than anything else. That said, why don't Rockstar hold the story across both Vice City and a fictional version of the UK capital? It seems ambitious, for sure, but if there's any development house that can cope with such a thing, it's Rockstar. Wouldn't it be cool to see the company innovate here, making the story cross boundaries it has rarely even touched upon? Picture a tale told over multiple decades, starting in Vice City of the 1980's and ending in London (or another location) in the present day.
