Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 Things The Sequel Must Have
2. A Greater Incentive To Explore
More than almost anything, Horizon 2 needs to give the player a far bigger incentive to go out and explore this huge world. Though the first game's sprawling landscape was gorgeous to behold, it also felt a little empty and unpopulated if you strayed much from the main path.
If the sequel included more hidden bosses, rewards, quirkier side quests and other secrets that enhanced the overall lore of the land, it'd make players feel rewarded for venturing out and soaking in this world even though it does nothing to advance the main quest line.
Sure, Guerrilla has to balance this against the fact that many players will miss all this content entirely, but if the world feels truly lived-in, it'll certainly entice more players to give the peripheral content a look.
