5. There Are Some Awesome Idle Animations

Thanks to Redditor, Knightlautrec for finding these, as across my 35 hours of review-time, I wasn't stopping long enough to realise.

Indeed, Guerrilla have programmed a number of specific idle animations that'll trigger across a variety of scenarios.

First up, if you position her next to a river or body of water, "Aloy gathers water in to her hands to drink from", when snowing "she will smile, stick her tongue out and catch flakes", during light rain, "she will hold her hands out and get droplets, before wiping her face and cleaning it". During heavy rain or storms, "Aloy constantly shields her face and keeps her head down to avoid the rain", and lastly, if she gets exhausted after an extended bout of sprinting "[Aloy] will double over and breathe heavily for a few minutes if you just stand there."
