10. Every Merchant Will Give You One Free Supply Crate

Speaking of buying things, Horizon has a somewhat bizarre 'blind box' system implemented for seemingly no reason. In the hands of an Ubisoft, a Warner Bros. or an EA, this would result in endless microtransactions, but instead, Aloy is capable of carrying tons of 'crates' around, before busting them open to see what's inside.

As such, every single time you visit a new merchant, navigate down to where they're selling these component boxes, and there'll be a 'Free Merchant Sample' you can pick up.

They rarely contain anything hugely consequential, but also appear to be randomised, occasionally giving you a crafting component you might need to unlock a particular weapon or armour set you've otherwise been eyeing.
