Injustice 2: 10 Characters That Should've Been Included
1. John Constantine
Many waves were made when this scouse magician made his off-screen Injustice debut last year, and quite rightly too. The character had generated considerable buzz after the criminally underrated show based upon the Hellblazer series was prematurely cancelled, and his trench coat aesthetic is quintessential DC. Surely, given the fact he's confirmed to appear in Justice League: Dark, he's worthy of a spot on the roster?
DC certainly hyped up John's presence when he popped up to help Batman fight the regime in the Injustice-verse, and Dr. Fate mentions him by name if you complete the game's arcade mode as that character. He's clearly pivotal in this universe, so why isn't he tangling with Bats' resistance on-screen as well as off it?
I get that there are already a few supernatural characters to have featured this time around, and I do love me some Swamp Thing and Kent Nelson, but their respective presences would undoubtedly benefit from the addition of Alan Moore's most (arguably) revered creation. Throw Matt Ryan into the mix, who has clearly shown a willingness to reprise his role whenever possible, and boom, you've got yourself a bonafide trio of occult misfits that are bound to set the title alight at a moment's notice.
I really do love NetherRealm's third foray into the DC Universe, but maybe, just maybe, tone down the Bat-fam next time. All right?
