9. Superman Is Still Clearly Unhinged
Do you yearn for the happy days of a spandex-clad Christopher Reeve, doing battle with Gene Hackman all whilst saving Margot Kidder's Lois Lane? Well, if so you're out of luck, as NetherRealm's favourite infamous genocidal dictator is back and badder than ever in Injustice's sequel.
Donning the red and black symbol synonymous with the animated serials of the 1940s, as well as with the character's turn as the vanguard of the Soviet proletariat in Superman: Red Son, the trailer finds Kal-El still just as murderous and as angsty as he was before, only this time he's come equipped with a delectable set of armoured suits to wear.
The trailer doesn't show if he's back in command of his merry band of fascist goons this time around, as it rarely stops for the non-stop battle that's taking place, but it's undoubtedly clear that the ex-Daily Planet reporter is going to feature heavily in the game's story mode.
How he escapes the imprisonment he found himself in at the end of the first title is anyone's guess, but for now, let's just appreciate that NetherRealm's twisted distortion of the Man of Steel is back and ready for another compelling story arc.
