7. Tangled/The Princess And The Frog/Frozen

One of Disneys trademarks is the fairy tale story, which takes characters from folklore and puts them into stories with happy endings that see a man and a woman realise true love as they help good triumph over evil. Almost every Disney film that adheres to this trope, from Snow White to the Little Mermaid, has been adapted into the Kingdom Hearts universe, but two more have been made since Kingdom Hearts II was released - The Princess and the Frog in 2009 and Tangled in 2010. The former is an adaptation of an adaptation of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, notable for its inclusion of the first black Disney princess, whilst the latter was a take on the Rapunzel story. Both featured stories that could easily be worked into the Kingdom Hearts canon, whilst given his love of video games, Tangleds lead voice actor Zachary Levi (from Chuck) would likely lend his voice to proceedings, which would be a bonus. Meanwhile, Disneys next animated film (out in November) will be Frozen, a loose adaptation of a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale called The Snow Queen. Its inclusion in Kingdom Hearts III is unlikely because of time constraints, but it would be an effective form of cross-platform marketing (as would something based on Japanese-influenced Big Hero 6, though that isnt released until November 2014).
