Kingdom Hearts 3: 11 Previously Unfeatured Disney Properties That Should Be Included

8. Treasure Planet

treasureplanet In 2002, Disney released a film called Treasure Planet. Despite decent reviews, it struggled in cinemas and has the dubious honour of being one of the biggest box office bombs of all time. The film was a sci-fi take on Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson€™s classic story about treasure and piracy. Its moving of the story€™s location from earth to outer space would be an excellent fit for the Kingdom Hearts universe, though Disney did also release a more traditional adaptation of the Treasure Island story in the fifties that could also be used, though it could be argued that it would be something of a duplication of the existing Pirates of the Caribbean-themed world. Elsewhere, another property that Disney would like to forget is John Carter, the sci-fi film that was amongst the largest flops of 2012. As it also features a sci-fi storyline, however, it could resonate more with Kingdom Hearts fans than it did with the cinema-going public.
