9. Guard Form

One of the new additions to Kingdom Hearts 3, Guard Form, was finally shown off in detail in the E3 trailer.

Screenshots released last year revealed that Drive Forms would indeed be returning to Kingdom Hearts 3, although with completely different forms. The first form revealed was Guard Form, showing Sora wield a shield and presumably taking a more defensive stance.

One of the first things we get to see in this trailer is the appearance and transformation into Guard Form. It appears under the name 'Counter Shield' here, which suggests that different Keyblades might be linked to the usage of different Drive Forms, as Sora is shown wielding the Hercules Keyblade in the footage.

Guard Form gets its own Shotlocks and combos, most of which involve Sora throwing it around and battering enemies up close. It's true defensive capabilities have yet to be seen, but it's certainly impressive to say the least.
