While concrete details on All Elite Wrestling's still-in-development console game remain thin on the ground, Fightful Select have published a new report on the project revealing, amongst other things, that it will feature a story mode.

Several wrestlers will contribute towards this, along with a number of the Yuke's team responsible for working on the SmackDown vs. Raw series that served as WWE's main gaming franchise from 2004 to 2011. Yuke's have been developing the AEW game in conjunction with Kenny Omega and other AEW personnel since it was announced in 2020.

A publisher is yet to be confirmed for the project. It is likely that once this is announced, we will be closer to learning the release date (and other key details).

As far as wrestler involvement goes, Omega is keen to ensure that AEW's first major gaming outing is a success. Thunder Rosa has told Fightful that she has seen her character prototype for the game, while AEW's music producer, Mikey Rukus, has mentioned a soft deadline for story mode music prior to this month's Revolution 2020 pay-per-view.

AEW's console game is expected for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It follows AEW's first two games, Elite GM and Casino" Double Or Nothing, which came out on mobile platforms in 2020.
