League of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 7

T-5. Team Curse (9-11)

Team Curse Team Curse stepped up their game this week, going 2-1 during week 7. Their two wins came against Velocity eSports and Counter Logic Gaming, while their only loss came to Team Dignitas. Curse was on the bottom of the standings every week until just recently since they picked up their game. Every individual on Team Curse has improved their game immensely, especially Edward and NYJacky; both struggled immensely at the beginning of the season. Top lane player Voyboy continued to play consistently well this week, and his best performance came against Velocity eSports (6/1/10 on Zac). Mid lane player NYJacky played great this week overall, going 10/5/27 with three games on Orianna. Jungler Saintvicious made two of his best performances of this split on Jarvan IV (4/3/30 in two games), but his Xin Zhao play against Team Dignitas was underwhelming. He still needs to work on his smites; there is a whole website dedicated to when Saintvicious missed his last smite (www.whendidsaintlastmisssmite.com). AD carry Cop continues to accelerate his game in the LCS. He went 7/1/6 on Twitch against CLG and followed up with a 10/2/6 Twitch game against Velocity eSports. Twitch is beginning to become his bread and butter champion for sure. Support Edward continues to improve in his North American support role. His highlight was a 0/0/16 game on Nami against Counter Logic Gaming in which he contributed to every kill in the game.
