Lord Of The Rings: 7 Characters Who Deserve Their Own Video Game
3. Gandalf
Gandalf, Mithrandir, Greyhame, whatever you want to call him, there's no denying that this pipe-smoking, wise figure is the most beloved wizard in fantasy - apologies to the Dumbledore fans. He's a fantastic character with the right amount of power, personality and flaws, making him the perfect subject for a solo title.
Players have experience stepping into the shoes of this powerful wizard, as he's been playable in many Lord of the Rings gaming projects. However, he's always a side character or option in the line-up and never the leading figure. This needs to change, as the life of Gandalf the Grey is one of Middle-Earth's most enduring legacies.
Like The Ents, Gandalf has a tonne of history in Middle Earth before the events of The Hobbit - explored briefly in The Hobbit Trilogy. So, there are many stories developers could pull from to give us a unique Middle-Earth adventure.
Fighting with unique spells and weapons, solving puzzles and using status to achieve missions are all factors to this character's gaming potential, and it would make a well-rounded product.
