Lord Of The Rings: 7 Characters Who Deserve Their Own Video Game
1. Sauron
While it's always nice to take on the role of the hero and do away with the bad guys, it's often more fun to get a break by straying to the dark side. The upcoming Gollum game itself looks set to do that, so why not go a step further and allow players to control the Lord of Darkness himself?
The rise of this malevolent character is one of the most exciting in the entire mythology, as his early life working alongside the original Dark Lord Melkor - also known as Morgoth - helped to forge him into the terrifying figure he'd become.
Getting the chance to look into this early period would be equal parts frightening and exciting, especially if we could also see the master he served under.
Seeing him go from a cunning sorcerer and servant to a physically dominating monster would force the player to feel incredibly powerful and make for one exciting game. The brief times that Sauron has been playable in other titles - like Conquest - have felt incredible, so going all the way would be a sure-fire hit.
