2. Franchise Mode Will Be Upgraded
Rayweather also heard on the grapevine that Franchise Mode will be a big focus for EA (once they're done tweaking Ultimate Team, obviously). Franchise may always pale in comparison to MUT, but the updates they furnished Madden 21 with were well-received by the Madden community.
This year is huge for Franchise.
EA's own development team were fairly open with their intentions before. They suggested that any changes they didn't have time to put into patches for Madden 21 would be reflected in the mode come 22. Anybody who has bemoaned the total lack of evolution in Franchise over the past five years or so will be smiling at the thought of that.
There's no clear news on exactly what improvements EA will make to the mode, but better scouting systems, new presentation for the Playoffs, new coaching mechanics and more are all rumoured to be involved in the upgrade.
The fact that EA are paying attention to Franchise full stop is a start.
