Marvel's Avengers: 10 Iconic Iron Man Armours That NEED To Be Included
3. Mark VIII: Silver Centurion
The Silver Centurion always seems to get overshadowed by its later successors, but it definitely deserves a place in the Marvel's Avengers game.
Originally designed to be worn by General Rhodes, Stark hopped into the armour in order to finally defeat Obadiah Stane. Stane had sent a mailbomb to the headquarters of Circuits Maximus, where Tony and his crew were stationed. The bomb completely destroys the building, killing his good friend Morley Erwin.
Stane hoped that the guilt of Erwin's death would drive Stark back to alcoholism, putting him out of business once again. Instead, it would be the trigger Stark needed. After months away from being Iron Man, Stark put on his newest design and set out to take his nemesis out once and for all.
It's packed full of weapons and gadgets as you would expect, however The Silver Centurion is far more advanced than its predecessor. Stark is able to fly from New York City to Los Angeles in just twenty minutes and utilises a "chameleon effect" to appear invisible to the naked eye and even radar systems.
