Mass Effect: 15 Easter Eggs, Secrets & References You Totally Missed
13. You Can Totally Catch Your Space Hamster In ME3
Remember way back in Mass Effect 2 when you bought your very own pointless furry rodent for your captain's cabin? By the third game, this critter appears to have completely AWOL. Or so it was thought. Turns out you can actually find, recapture and once again enjoy the lovely times in your cabin with your space hamster. To find him, you'll need to head down first of all have an imported save from the second game where you bought the hamster. After this, jump into Mass Effect 3, head to the Normandy's Engineering deck (where Jack used to be in the second game) and you can quickly catch the hamster as he scurries around the pipes. He'll then return to his cage in your quarters, where he can be found for the remainder of the game. If you own Mass Effect 3's Citadel DLC, Shepard's clone will also try to remove the hamster from the ship, drawing the ire of Commander Shepard. Thankfully the hamster survives the encounter.
