Mass Effect 4: 10 Characters Who Must Return

2. Tali'Zorah

Until she was forever destroyed by a stock photograph resembling her face in part three, the manifestation (for guys anyway) of every shy girl you thought was secretly a total babe made for one of the most interesting and dynamic relationships in the trilogy. The fact that aside from Jack's subversion of expectation in that coming onto her directly led to being pushed away, getting involved with Tali had brilliant real-world implications for any who have ever been in a mixed race relationship, and all the clashing of ideologies and familial expectations that come with it. Her relationship was arguably the most maturely presented throughout, and as she had to research how to even breath the same air as you before you could go any further, this element of restraint made some of the most subtle physical interactions mean so much more. Going forward it's safe to say if Bioware allow for trilogy-wide save games to transfer across, nobody wants their relationship with Tali tarnished, but as she's one of the only crew members to make it out of part three alive, wherever she goes following these apocalyptic events could be very interesting.
