The 'Ice Cold Cool' award could go to a number of brilliant characters across the trilogy, and although Thane more than proves himself out in the field, his off-kilter trance-inducing moments always made it seem more like he was about to snap and go on a rampage than help in bringing the mission to a close. Thankfully his twitchy-eyed cutscenes are only emblematic of his profession as an assassin, and although he bites the big one in part three regardless of your choices, if ME4 turns out to be a prequel, it'll provide the perfect opportunity to see him dropping targets in his prime. Thane's species of Drell apparently live for 85 'galactic years' giving the setting of part four a fair amount of leeway either side of three; either to have Thane as a more disconnected, efficient slaughter-machine, or to expand on his side mission subject matter where his son appeared to be taking on some of his father's traits. Either way the Drell are vastly underused, and as it looks like there'll be a huge number of new planets in the new game, having access to their homeworld and a whole score of these enigmatic characters is quite the enticing prospect.
