Speaking of which, the move to relocate the entire mythology to another star system is clearly to give Bioware the option of 'wiping the slate clean'. Such a move worked wonders at the beginning of Mass Effect 2, as by killing and resurrecting Shepard anew, we were able to redesign their look all over again, alongside falling back on the time passed between death and return as a catalyst for any personality changes.

For Andromeda, that reset button now applies to the cosmos itself, as in taking only a handful of Alliance races on the journey to arrive at a new galaxy, it pretty much takes us back to how things were before ME 3.

However, what happened to the Milky Way?

Whatever space magic the Andromeda Initiative shuttle uses to cross the cosmos is surely abusable by other species, and that begs the question: Will we return to Earth at any point, to see what ensued following the close of ME 3?
