Mass Effect Andromeda: 9 Exciting New Rumours You Need To Know

4. Paragon/Renegade System Has Been Removed Completely

The Paragon/Renegade system was an overall extremely enjoyable (albeit simplistic) system that allowed players to develop their own Shepard with their own kind of personality. The system was a little too black-and-white sometimes though, along with the system basically forcing players to pick one side or the other (or risk losing out on key dialogue options).

Bioware has apparently taken notice of the system's issues and has stated that the system will not be returning in Andromeda. Now, this could simply mean that they updated it with new names and logos, or it could imply that there will no longer be explicitly-stated "good" and "bad' options. The system could potentially take on a dialogue system more similar to Witcher 3's where the morally wrong and right decisions aren't exactly clearly laid out, allowing for true player choice. This would help expand on the game's original conversation depth, as well as allow players to carve out a far more morally ambiguous Ryder compared to previous games.

Likelihood of being true: 8/10. Andromeda's creative team has emphasised that the dialogue system will hinder on a system of moral grayness rather than black-and-white dialogue options. No more simplicity, just a good old-fashioned dialogue system where you try to say the right things at the right times, but you end up failing entirely. *Sighs* They'll be just like real-life conversations.
