Mass Effect Andromeda: 9 Exciting New Rumours You Need To Know

5. There Are Multiple N7 Soldiers Throughout The Story

The N7 armour has retained a prominent presence throughout Andromeda's limited marketing cycle, with the soldier(s) being placed in many different types of situations. However, it doesn't seem to be the same soldier in the armour for every released photo/video. Sometimes it's the standard male figure, like the one in the E3 2015 trailer, or the thinner figure like the one on the leaked Game Informer photo.

The difference in body shape seems to be purposeful, with the intent indicating that they're at least different people. The different people within the suit may help increase the legitimacy of the "inheriting the armour" theory as it could represent either male Ryder or female Ryder wearing their version of the suit. Bioware reps have also made statements that they wished to make the female protagonist more prominent in the marketing compared to the original trilogy's marketing (each trailer usually had male Shepard), so this could just be an example of that as well.

Likelihood of being true: 2/10. The Ryder character isn't an N7 soldier, so the suit simply being theirs doesn't make sense. Considering that Ryder's father wears the N7 suit (at least in the E3 2015 trailer) but doesn't appear to be the one running later on in the trailer (the out-of-breath character seems to have a higher-pitched voice, indicating that it's a different character). This is certainly possible, but it can't be ruled out that it isn't simply Ryder or even the father, so multiple N7 soldiers aren't likely to show up.
