Metal Gear Online: 10 Crucial Tips & Tricks You Need To Know

5. Lose Weight To Hide Yourself On The Map

Noticed those orange bursts of colour on your otherwise blue map? They're general areas of effect for an enemy, brought about through both them sprinting or moving fast, and whatever their respective Loadout weight is. Whilst this weight can affect your running speed (and you can change it by hopping into the Customisation menu after you reach Lvl 4), you want to keep it low more for the sake of staying hidden on the map too. As I mentioned earlier, people haven't settled into playing MGO 'properly' just yet, and although you can play it from a far more guns-first sort of way, you'll last far longer and be a far bigger benefit to your team in the long run if you creep forward, pick your shots and interrogate as many people as possible - all things you'll pull off easier with reduced weight.
