5. Tie The Franchise Together

When MGSV was first announced, I was resistant that it was going to tarnish the enormously satisfying ending of the fourth game, which gave Solid Snake a superb send-off and left me not really wanting another sequel. However, MGSV being a prequel calms my nerves a little; as long as they don't touch Solid Snake, it can be a great game. However, I can't help but think that the series should wind down before it ends up running itself into the ground; that's why this should be the final MGS game, and Kojima can pour his huge talents into a new IP for us to enjoy. If this is going to be the final MGS, then, it of course needs to tie together the entire series, an ambitious one given the complex plot threads occurring throughout not just the main games but also the likes of Portable Ops and Peace Walker. Still, if The Phantom Pain can brings things full circle, perhaps ending up at the start of the original Metal Gear, then we'll be left not wanting for anything else.
