The Metroid franchise has something of a reputation for levelling up and upgrading the main character.

Finding new weapons and abilities etc are par for the course so it's time to take things to the next phase.

So many different enemy types and varying environments mean we need the right tools for the job. However instead of giving players what they need when they need it why not take a page from the big book of RPG's?

Let players retrieve fallen armour and weapons similar to the likes of Diablo or Fallout.

Now players can assess whether or not they're ready to investigate that acid volcano planet or if that hulking great alien is a threat and worth the risk.

Now everyone, playing, has a different looking Samus designed to meet their own individual requirements and needs.
