Monster Hunter: World - 10 Fan-Favourite Monsters Capcom Must Add
3. Chameleos
Easily the series' most memorable Elder on aesthetics alone, Chameleos isn't just a danger to your life, but your wallet, too. This colour-changing lizard is quite the kleptomaniac and will steal anything on your person with its adhesive tongue.
In the absence of an Anti-Theft skill in World to protect your valuables, it's unlikely we'd see that notorious ability carry over from Monster Hunter 2, but no biggie - the 'dragon' has plenty other tricks up its sleeve to deceive and divert Hunters.
Invisibility by way of camouflage and sight-obscuring mists make Chameleos a slippery fella to pin down; unique among the Elders in that a battle with the googly-eyed beast is a battle of wits rather than brawn.
Chameleos would fit right in as a native of World's tropical Ancient Forest alongside its aposematic brethren Pukei-Pukei and Great Jagras, though bear in mind that the vibrant hide of this hybrid isn't just for show.
