Mortal Kombat 1: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

2. Kenshi

Kenshi's Sento sword gives him a vast range in battle, allowing him to execute distant attacks without breaking a sweat. Many of the blind swordsman's kombos are great launchers, letting him to smoothly transition into an air kombo.

But that's not all. Using telekinesis, Kenshi can summon his ghostly ancestor in battle to assist him. And since his phantom can't be hurt, the former Yakuza can let it fight on his behalf while keeping his distance. By using the pair in tandem, players can unleash creatively overwhelming attacks, unlike anything ever seen in the franchise.

Furthermore, Kenshi's style gels deliciously with Kameos. While paired with Frost, he can trap the other fighter with a corner kombo. With Sareena at his side, his air attacks are unmatched. Kano is great at striking from afar, so most pairings let Kenshi obliterate his foes without them getting anywhere near.

Even though Mortal Kombat 1 hasn't been out for very long, it's easy to see why Kenshi has quickly become the go-to fighter for many.
