Mortal Kombat 11: 10 Guest Characters Fans Demand

Obviously if you want to fight as Batman, you can just pick up a copy of Injustice. In fact, that won’t just let you fight as Batman, but also run down your enemies in the Batmobile. However, given both fighting games are made by Netherrealm, there’s a decent chance the crossover could happen.

For one, we’ve seen Mortal Kombat characters cross the divide in the other direction as DLC add ons. Plus, Batman’s gothic, brooding design fits with MK better than Wonder Woman or Superman; the other two clear candidates for a crossover.

What’s most interesting in stoking this rumour is Ed Boon’s Twitter header. Boon is the co-creator of both Mortal Kombat and Injustice, as well as being the creative director of Netherrealm itself. In tribute this, his header is Scorpion and the Bat. Following MK 11’s reveal, he added ‘Mortal 11 Kombat’ in between the two faces. Is this a tease? Or was he just adding a promo for his new game in between his old header?

Hit and runs aside, Injustice is considerably less violent than Mortal Kombat. It remains to be seen how willing DC are to license their characters for HD evisceration.
